Chief Estimator


We want your help in making Struct-Con one of Canada’s largest and best managed General Contracting Firms.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join us full time. You will manage construction projects in the $5M-$30M range and will work closely with the Team to ensure that your projects get delivered on time and on budget.

Struct-Con was founded in 1989, and currently havs over $60M of active construction projects under management. We specialize in building schools, libraries, transportation facilities, and private buildings.

Who You Are:
You are currently in an Estimator role and are looking to take on more complicated projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Estimating, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. You are ready for the next challenge in your life and want to join a high-growth General Contracting Firm where you can grow.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans
  • 5-7 years' of construction experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction process

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
  • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
  • Review and evaluate cost estimates
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates
  • Understand scope of work to bid
  • Manage bid pricing from all vendors
  • Prepare cost analysis

About the Salary & Compensation
