Junior Project Manager (Construction)

We want your help in making Struct-Con one of Canada’s largest and best managed General Contracting Firms.

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join us full time. You will manage construction projects in the $500K-$20M range and will work closely with the team to ensure that your projects get delivered on time and on budget.

Struct-Con was founded in 1989, and currently has over $60M of active construction projects under management. We specialize in building schools, libraries, transportation facilities, and private buildings.

Who You Are:

You are an intelligent, hardworking, and an excellent Team Player who is looking to build a long-term career in a growing General Contracting Firm. You are ambitious, can solve complex problems using creative solutions, and are energized by every day challenges that we face in the General Contracting industry.

Your Experience:

  • Technical diploma, certified Technologist or engineering/Architectural degree, and/or equivalent trade experience
  • PMP Certification would be an asset
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Project Coordinator/Project Manager role with a General Contractor or Sub Trade
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Project
  • Solid communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills are necessary
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License, a clean driving record
  • Access to personal vehicle for local work/ travel

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the construction project
  • Manage change orders and maintain the project schedule
  • Assist in the presentation of the estimate/proposal to clients and prospects
  • QC\QA review reporting. Coordinate invoice approval.
  • Actively participate in company Health and Safety program
  • Arrange and conduct construction field services as required
